Older industrial equipment often does not even have the most basic instrumentation / sensors. To get more insights into the status or performance of the equipment, it is often required to retrofit it with additional sensors. This is often very complex and requires a lot of manual steps.
Retrofit does not need to be complicated. Simon Akhtari guides through an almost fully plug&play combination of data integration, smart sensors, and cloud with CloudRail, IFM, and Azure IoT. The system uses Azure and Microsoft Power-Tools to quickly build a dashboard for better insights and almost real-time visualization and analysis of sensor information. The Accenture Industry X Innovation Center is located in the industrial heart of Germany at Zollverein UNESCO World Heritage Site in Essen.
